Maxine (Larsen) Dean Gaiser

Maxine Gaiser, 96, of Osage Beach, MO, and a former Parsons resident, passed away at 6:43 a.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021, at her home at Osage Beach.

Maxine was born on July 15, 1925, at Parsons to Herman and Genevieve (Schoff) Larsen. She was the ninth of twelve children and the last surviving sibling. She grew up and attended schools in Parsons including Vincent School and West Junior High School.

On January 18, 1947, she married Edmund Dean and they had three daughters. Edmund died January 18, 1978, on their 31st wedding anniversary. She then married Fred Gaiser on November 20, 1981, until his death on January 23, 2005.

While raising her three daughters Maxine took in laundry and ironing for people. Maxine later worked at Broderick Manufacturing Company for 20 years before retiring. Maxine enjoyed spending time with friends and family, playing cards, gardening, and tending to her flowers.

Maxine is survived by her three daughters; Linda Kennedy (Doug) of Osage Beach, MO, Brenda Sanford (Wayne) of Kansas City, MO and Sandy MacDonald (Scott) of Broken Arrow, OK, a sister-in-law Ruth Gaiser of Parsons, six grandchildren; Dawn Sonntag, Shawn Sonntag Lehmann, Jeff Sanford, Ross MacDonald, Tori MacDonald, and Karen Gaiser Kiger, nine great grandchildren; Mark Hull, Dillon Bump, Damon Bump, Karlee Sonntag Lehmann, Amber Lehmann, Katelynn Sanford, Brayden Sanford, Christy Gaiser Coleman, and Adrianna Amicone, three great-great grandchildren; Keegan, Konner and MahKya Hull, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouses, Ed and Fred, eleven brothers and sisters and their spouses; Eugene Morton (Ethel), Pauline Cottengim (Cotten), Charles Larsen (Maxine), Richard Larsen (Gladys), Melvin Larsen (Marjorie), Dorothy Clevenger, Betty Foreman (Earl), Donald Larsen (Lucille), Mary Jo Ferguson (John), Kenneth Larsen, and Baby Nell Larsen, her step-son, Duke Gaiser, her grandson, Kevin Gaiser, and her brother-in-law, Grover Gaiser.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery Patio with Pastor Pat Mc Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons from 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday.
