Wyatt Earp FallFest returns to Lamar

LAMAR, Mo. —The Wyatt Earp FallFest returned to Lamar.

The event is put on by the Barton county chamber of commerce and celebrates the famous lawman who got his start in Lamar. 

People celebrated with live music, a beer garden, and food vendors.  The event intends to share the story of Wyatt Earp around the country. 

 “This is a great event that we do. its a free community event that we do. its a free community event that people can come on down and just really enjoy the great quality of life that we have in barton county and Lamar and also, we get to celebrate Wyatt Earp as our legendary lawman and his beginnings here and his start in Lamar,” said Astra Ferris, Barton County Chamber of Commerce, CEO.

This year’s Wyatt Earp fall fest took place on the grounds of the future Wyatt Earp park.

The park will also be an amphitheater for music events and will include statues and murals of Earp himself.
