Gloria Jean Greenfeather of Bernice, OK passed from this life Monday, September 13, 2021 at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, OK. She was 69.
Gloria was born October 21, 1951 in Claremore, OK to Edward and Ruth (Summerfield) Bishop. She had lived in the Ottawa and Delaware County area all her life. She was a 1969 graduate of Miami High School.
Gloria was a member of the Cherokee Nation and retired from Claremore Indian Health Services.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Rufus Silversmith.
Gloria is survived by 2 sons, Woodrow Greenfeather of Grove, OK and Nathan Line and his fiance Jamie Blair of Miami, OK, 2 brothers, Kenny Silversmith of Carrollton, TX and Robert Silversmith of Commerce, OK, 2 sisters, Marge King of Kenwood, OK and Anna Morrison of Tulsa, OK, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Summer House at Quapaw Tribal Grounds south of Quapaw, OK. Rev. Geoff Buffalo will officiate. Steve Holloway, Cap Ulrey, Delmar McFarland, Danny Vecaire, Jeremy Olsen and Shawn Ellick will serve as pallbearers. Gloria will lie in state at the Summer House beginning at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2021. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
