Bobby Gibbs

Bobby “Bob” Elden Gibbs, 87, of Jane, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He began his journey on February 6, 1934 in Akron, Colorado born to the late Harley and Elnora (Pickett) Gibbs. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Berlin, Germany. He married Anna Laura Allen on October 10, 1959 in Westville, Oklahoma and to this union four children were born. Bob was a farmer, logger and an all around handyman who could build anything.  He was the President of the Farm Echoes Tractor Club in which he founded.   Bob was a member of the Faith Chapel Assembly of God Church in Anderson, Missouri.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Joanna Gibbs; son, Zeke Gibbs; three brothers, Harley “Bud” Gibbs, Doyle Gibbs and Dorval Gibbs.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Gibbs of the home; two sons, Jon Gibbs and Jeff Gibbs (Tammy), both of Jane, Missouri; three brothers, Bill Gibbs (Freda), Dorlen Gibbs (Lois) and Dale Gibbs (Nancy); seven grandchildren, Bryan, Amanda, Drew, Casey, Courtney, Jeremy and Tianna; 14 great grandchildren; as well as a host of family, friends and neighbors who will dearly miss Bob.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Brush Creek Cemetery in Jane, Missouri. Pastor Derald Compton will officiate.   In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Gideons International or Teen Challenge in Neosho, Missouri.
