Virgil LeRoy Crowder of Wyandotte, OK passed from this life Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his home. He was 74.
Virgil was born March 14, 1947 in Joplin, MO to Cleo and Dorothy (Yeager) Crowder. He had lived in Wyandotte most of his life and graduated from Wyandotte High School class of 1965. He served 2 tours in the U.S. Navy, as a Medical Corpsman during Vietnam. He was the owner and operator of Sycamore Valley Recreation Park in Wyandotte, OK and a member of Eastside Baptist Church, east of Miami, OK.
Virgil was preceded in death by a great grandchild Lyla Garrett and his parents.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Redeanna Tucker of Wyandotte, OK, Dorothy Suzanne Crowder of Wyandotte, OK and Katherine Johnson of Pryor, OK, 1 sister, Dorothy Cole, 2 grandchildren, Brett Corley and Cierra White and 7 great grandchildren, Kyden Garrett, Karson White, Matix Corley, Roxy Corley, Parx Corley, Ashlyn Edmonds and Jon Edmonds.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 at Wyandotte Cemetery in Wyandotte, OK. Rev. Bob Wilson will officiate. Military Rites will be conducted by Grove Veterans Ritual Team. Brett Corley, Mark Corley, Jim Lindley, Mike McKeee and Al Tynon will serve as pallbearers.
