Troy Damien Colley

Troy Damien Colley, age 52, of Galena, Missouri, passed away at 8:56 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at his home. He was born March 17, 1969, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Dave and Carol Colley.

Troy grew up in the Mt. Vernon/Stotts City area and later settled in Springfield and Galena area. He worked various jobs and most recently as an all-around handy man. He loved to work on old cars with his latest project being his maternal grandfather’s pickup truck. Troy never met a stranger and was always willing to help those in need. He was much loved by all of his neighbors in Galena. He will be greatly missed.

Troy is survived by his mother Carol Blanton and her husband, Bert, of Springfield, Missouri; his life partner of 22 years, Kimberly Clay, of Galena; one son, Christopher Clay of Galena; two daughters, Danyel Stottlemire and her husband, Rickie, Sr. of Stockton, Missouri and Whitney Clay of Galena; two grandsons, Jason Mendenhall and Rickie Stottlemire, Jr. both of Stockton; one brother, Travis Colley of Springfield; one sister, Tracie Anglin of Springfield; three stepbrothers, Kendall, Doug and Nathan Blanton and two stepsister, Deanna Villarreal and Natalie Blanton.

Troy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George, and Stella Velten; paternal grandparents, Bill, and Leila Colley and two uncles, Hoyt, and Mason Colley.

A visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. A celebration of life and private burial will be held at a later date at Colley Cemetery, in Stotts City, Missouri.

Memorial donations may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home, to help with funeral expenses.
