JOPLIN, Mo. — Beau McCarter started his 100 Hikes Across America after he was inspired by an act of charity from a little girl he met on the road as a truck driver.
He’s stopping in Joplin because the Harmony House in Springfield said he should seek out “hope” along his hike.
