Pauline Pilant, 87, of Rogers, Arkansas, formerly of Joplin, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021.
Pauline was born November 25, 1933 in Powell, Missouri to the late John and Grace (Woodward) Myers. On July 2, 1954, she married Richard Harvey Pilant and together they had one daughter, Lisa. She and Richard shared 53 years of marriage before his passing in 2008.
Pauline was strong in her faith and centered her life around the Lord. She was a dedicated member of Blendville Christian Church in Joplin for more than 50 years. Pauline had a servant’s heart through and through and spent much of her time doing volunteer work, including her longtime volunteer efforts with Crosslines Ministries. In her spare time, she also enjoyed gardening of all kinds. Pauline loved her family, especially her ornery grandsons, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Along with her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Lawyer; two sisters, Lorene Nicely and Geneva Waggoner; and three brothers, Ray, Floyd, and Eugene Myers.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Lisa Filippone and husband, Ron, of Rogers, Arkansas; two grandsons, Joe Lawyer of Joplin and Jared Lawyer and wife, Sierra, of Pasadena, California; two sisters, Crystal Wicks of Joplin, Shirley Bridgeforth and husband, Milton, of Yukon, Oklahoma; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 in the chapel of Parker Mortuary with Pastor Virgil Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Blendville Christian Church in Pauline’s memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
