Nicholas Lee Toliver

Nick was born November 5, 1980 in Joplin to Kevin and Flossie (Woods) Toliver.  Following high school, Nick attended Vatterott College, earning his Associate Degree in Information Technology.  He worked for Teleperformance for the last two years as an employee trainer.

Nick loved sports and was an avid follower of the KC Chiefs and the Boston Red Sox.  He also loved spending time at the shooting range.  Nick was a true jokester and always able to make light of hard situations.  He was proud of overcoming his personal struggles and maintaining sobriety for the last four years.  Nick enjoyed being social and participating in fundraisers, following his parents’ involvement in “Blast from the Past”.  He was the biggest fan of his mom’s cooking.  Above all, Nick loved his family, especially his children.

Nick truly lit up the room with his infectious smile and his beautiful blue eyes.  His presence will be missed, but never forgotten.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Megin Toliver, whom he shared 18 years with; their children, Lennon and Kylee Toliver; his parents, Kevin and Flossie Toliver; four siblings, Meri (Chris), Brooklyn, Dre, and Aleah Toliver; two nieces, Mikala Serafine (Katrina) and Hailey Toliver; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Nick was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Ray Toliver, and his grandparents.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2021 at Osborne Cemetery in Joplin with Nate Anderson officiating.  Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Parker Mortuary.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
