Latest updated blog: Heavy rains tonight. -Doug

Good Thursday night!  I hope the day has been great!  Mine has been good, just watching these thunderstorms plowing through our northern counties.  We do have a pretty big flash flood threat as most of these storms are slow movers and dropping some heavy amounts of rain.  Thunderstorms will continue to increase tonight.  So a loud night, but most of these will stay below severe limits.  But a very wet start to the day.

I think most of this will be out of here by late morning and then we will start to dry out.  But some super heavy rains possible tonight.

Heavy amounts of rain so we will get some flash flooding.  After all of this moves out, we will still have hit and miss pop up storms Friday afternoon.

Scattered thunderstorms continue Friday night, but mainly on the Oklahoma side of the region.

Saturday in general looks good.  If you are doing outdoor activities, we still have to dodge some scattered afternoon storms.

Long range forecast is below.

Next week:  80s to start but near 90 again by the middle of the week.  We are going to have scattered storms Sunday, Monday and then again late in the week.

July 25th-31st:  We’ll be looking at a hot and mainly dry week to wrap up the month.

August 1st-7th:  Hot start but then mainly a warm week with rain chances Tuesday through Thursday.

August 8th-14th:  Hot first half of the week and a warm second half.  Scattered thunderstorms chances most days.
