James Virgil Eubanks, age 79, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at the Lawrence County Manor, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He was born July 24, 1941, in Barry County, the son of the late Lavarn and Thena (Robbins) Eubanks.
James was a 1960 graduate of Aurora High School and was a dairy farmer all his life. He worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Aurora and retired after 21years. He loved bird hunting and bowling and was a member of DFA.
On February 10, 1962, he married Martha Sue Ratliff in Aurora.
James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha; three sons, Gene Eubanks and his wife, Lisa, of Verona, Rick Eubanks and his wife, Francis, of Aurora and Ronnie Eubanks, and his wife, Wyndy, of Verona; eight grandchildren, Kabin Eubanks and his wife, Ashley, of Mt. Vernon, Dakota and Dalton Brown of Aurora, Jayme Hammons and her husband, Dakota, of Aurora, Shelby High and her husband, Chance, of Aurora, Denver Eubanks, of Aurora, Myranda and Colby Gage, of Verona; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Janice Hake and her husband, Jim, of Burlington, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
Memorial donations may be made payable to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
