Latest updated blog: Thunderstorms with heavy rains the next few days. -Doug

Good Wednesday night/Thursday morning.  I hope your week has gone great so far.  Mine has been pretty good, just catching up with stuff around the house and then working of course.  The weather has been pretty calm but that is going to change the next few days.

Most of today looks dry, but some isolated storms in our northern counties today.

We heat up during the afternoon, highs near 90 with heat indices well into the 90s.  Scattered thunderstorms increasing late in the afternoon in our NW counties.  Everyone else, staying mainly dry through the day.

Thunderstorms really increase during the evening hours.

Some of these storms could pack a punch with heavy rains.  Some of the storms could be strong to severe with the main threat being gusty winds and hail.  Thunderstorms continue through the overnight hours.

We are looking at Friday morning above.  So a wet start on Friday, but most of the storms will be out of here by late morning.  By the afternoon, most of the rain is out of here but we will still have some isolated PM storms.

Rainfall could be pretty heavy in spots.  I think on average, most of us will end up in the 1-3″ range.

Scattered thunderstorms continue into the weekend.  Not a rainout, but batches, especially Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

Long range forecast is below.

August 1st-7th:  Hot start but then mainly a warm week with rain chances Tuesday through Thursday.

August 8th-14th:  Hot first half of the week and a warm second half.  Scattered thunderstorms chances most days.
