Neosho, MO resident among two dead in Colorado plane crash

LONE TREE, Colo. — South Metro firefighters responded to a single plane crash south of the Centennial Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the single-engine aircraft hit power lines and crashed while approaching Centennial Airport Wednesday.

First responders say they found the bodies of two people and a dog when they arrived at the crash site.

Firefighters say a brush fire ignited, but they managed to get it under control.

The FAA confirms the plane took off from Neosho, Missouri and that the pilot was from Neosho.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
