MONETT, Mo. – A Missouri women is dead following a three car crash in Monett. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened a little after 11:30am yesterday morning on Highway 37 One south of Butterfield. Police say a van failed to yield and turned in front of 74 year old Linda Gunter, causing their vehicles to collide. That pushed the van into another vehicle in the opposite lane. Linda Gunter was pronounced dead at the hospital. Sammie Gunter was last reported in serious condition.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Former Kansas City Chiefs Assistant Coach Britt Reid pleads not guilty to driving under the influence. Reid, who is the son of Kansas City Head Coach Andy Reid, was part of a multi-vehicle crash in February. Two children were hospitalized, including a five-year-old girl who suffered a critical brain injury in the accident. Authorities say Reid was driving more than 80-miles per hour shortly before the accident. His blood alcohol content was also above the legal limit. Reid was initially placed on administrative leave after the incident, but his contract expired following the Chiefs’ loss in the 2021 super bowl. Former Chiefs assistant coach pleads not guilty in crash

CARTHAGE, Mo. – As vaccine trials get underway for children younger than 12 years old, one question is whether students who are not vaccinated should still be required to wear masks. School districts in our area have dropped mask mandates in favor of voluntary masking for students. WASHINGTON, D.C. – The White House has ended its infrastructure negotiations with Republican senators. GOP lawmakers objected to the project’s $1.7 trillion dollar cost while complaining that parts of it are unnecessary.
