Jason C. Hopkins, 43, of Oswego, passed away the afternoon of Wednesday, May 26, 2021, in a car accident south of Parsons.
Jason Clay Hopkins was born on November 3, 1977, to Clay Harold and Dorothy (Pruitt) Hopkins in Columbus, Kansas. As a young boy, he grew up and attended schools in Parsons and Chanute.
In earlier years, he worked at the feed lot and then at TM Track Machines. Until 2012, he was the owner and operator of J.O.B Tire Shop in Parsons.
His greatest joy came from spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. He enjoyed listening to music and in his younger years played the drums in the band, Nothing Fancy, with his dad. Other favorite pastimes were fishing, especially for spoonbill; playing pool; riding motorcycles; and watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Monday Night Raw. He was also a member of a CB Radio Club and his handle was “Little Flint Rock.”
He and Kimberly Dupuy were married and to this union, four children were born. The couple later divorced. He and Trisha Davison were married. The couple later divorced. In 2015, Jason and Kelly Moen were united in marriage. She survives of the home.

One sister – Sara Amburgey (Chris) of Overland Park, Kansas
Two nieces – Taya and Tristen Amburgey
One nephew – Thayden Amburgey
He was preceded in death by his father, Clay Hopkins; his mother, Dorothy Rakestraw-Wilson-Hopkins; one brother, Harold Wilson, Jr.; and two sisters, Cynthia L. Wilson and Audrey Lynn Rakestraw.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., June 5, 2021, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. The funeral service will be livestreamed on the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home Facebook page. Following cremation, burial will take place at Springhill Cemetery.
