ALTOONA, Kan. – Multiple fire crews responded to a fire at the Altoona-Midway Elementary School in Altoona, Kansas.
Officials with the Wilson County Rural Fire Department tell us the fire was confined to three rooms in the school, however, there’s heavy smoke and water damage to the entire building. The cause of the fire is under investigation and officials say the State Fire Marshal is heading to Altoona to investigate.
Wilson County Rural Fire, Altoona Fire, Neodesha Fire, and Fredonia Fire all responded to the blaze.
