Webb City boys claim Class 4 track and field state championship

WEBB CITY, Mo – The Webb City High School boys are Missouri Class 4 track and field state champions.

The Cardinals finished with 64 points as a team on Friday evening – 7 points clear of Kearney for the class 4 team title. Webb City had six individuals + two relay teams end the state meet with top-5 finishes Friday night.

Mekhi Garrard – 1st in long jump (23 ft, 3 1/4 in) and 2nd in triple jump (45 ft, 10 in)

Grayson Smith – 2nd in pole vault (14 ft, 10 in)

Pryce Mason – 4th in pole vault (13 ft, 8 1/4 in)

Owen Weller, Joseph Dawson, Sam Winesburg and Roman Borboa – 4th in 4X800 relay (8:16.79)

Luke Brumit – 3rd in high jump (6 ft, 5 in)

Zetthew Meister – 4th in discus (165 ft, 11 in)

James Morgan – 3rd in 110m hurdles (14.88)

William Wolfe, Mekhi Garrard, Asa Morgan, Pryce Mason – 3rd place in 4X400 relay (3:30.74)
