One man dies after shooting in Anderson, MO

ANDERSON, Mo. — Authorities in Anderson say two suspects in a shooting have surrendered.

Anderson Police and McDonald County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting incident on Tuesday, May 25 around 8:30 p.m. on Stephens Dr.

When officers arrived they found a man with gunshot wounds.

After securing the scene, EMS took the man to the hospital where he later died.

Through their investigation, officers learned the victim was confronted at his home by two men.

The victim then got into a fight with two other men who claimed the victim was hiding someone they were looking for.

Authorities say at some point that fight escalated to gunfire from both sides.

The two suspects fled the scene.

Detectives were able to identify the suspects and began searching for them.

An attorney arranged the surrender of both suspects to the McDonald County Sheriff’s Office.

Official charges are pending.

Names of the suspects will be released after charges have been filed.
