Joyce Annette Glover of Commerce, OK passed from this life Sunday, May 23, 2021 at her home. She was 80.
Joyce was born February 23, 1941 in Miami, OK to Burl V. and Helen C. (Parish) Craig. She had lived in Commerce over 30 years moving from Miami. Joyce had worked as a seamstress at Glen Berry Garment Manufacturing, she had worked as a truck driver for CFI and Franks and Son Trucking and as lab technician for Eagle – Picher Industries in Quapaw, OK. She attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami, OK. She loved to sew and quilt and donated her time helping at the Ark in Miami.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Jack Glover August 6, 1999, her parents and 4 brothers, Herman Tinsley, Carl Tinsley, Floyd Craig and Jimmie Craig.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jim Gering and wife Annette of Miami, OK and John Gering and wife Neka of Miami, OK, 1 daughter, Julie Purcell and husband Robert of Miami, OK, 1 sister, Carolyn Gering of Fairland, OK, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK with Rev. Howie Moss officiating. Pallbearers will be Jared Gering, Julian Gering, Jordan Silva, T.J. McDonald and Robert Purcell. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK.
