Dylan Wayne Cody Smith, age 29, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 7:26 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at his home. He was born October 27, 1991, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Tony and Chris (England) Smith.

Dylan worked for a construction company, was a line cook for Megg’s Restaurant in Mt. Vernon and enjoyed spending time with his nephews.

Dylan is survived by his daughter, Lennon Smith, of Ash Grove, Missouri; father and stepmother, Tony and Linda Smith, of Walnut Grove, Missouri; mother Donanna Smith of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Kimberly Smith of Colorado, Kigan Mills and her husband, Dwayne, of Mt. Vernon and Georgia Wilson and her husband, Luke, of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Anthony Smith of Tacoma, Washington; paternal grandmother, Millie Spence, of Purdy, Missouri; maternal grandfather, Larry England, of Pittsburg, Missouri and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dylan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harland Smith, maternal grandmother, America Carter and her husband, John and uncle, Thomas Smith.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
