JOPLIN, Mo. – Mercy hospital is accepting vaccine appointments from all Missouri adults starting today. That’s a day before the state of Missouri opens vaccine registration to all Missouri adults. PITTSBURG, Kan. – On Wednesday, PSU reported zero new coronavirus cases from the prior week and said it’s part of a campus trend that started back on March 10th. And Pittsburg State University is not the only 4-state college seeing success battling covid-19. A quick glance at MSSU’s covid-19 dashboard shows the Joplin college also reported no new cases last week which happens to be the week *after* students returned from spring break.

JOPLIN, Mo. – Some 4-Staters report side-effects from the second covid-19 dose. Doctor Eden Esguerra with Mercy Hospital in Joplin says the potential side-effects are broken up into two categories, what they call local, and systemic. The local side effects come from where you actually get the shot, in your arm, and usually include pain, redness and swelling, which Doctor Esguerra says are quite common. It’s the systemic effects, which are felt throughout your body, like fever, aches and pains and nausea, which are causing some discomfort.

JOPLIN, Mo. – Medical marijuana supply in southwest Missouri is growing. For the last several months, medical marijuana dispensaries have been slowly adding to the product lines as more product becomes available. It’s been a long road for infused product facilities that sell things like edibles and concentrates to dispensaries. But products are starting to hit the market more and more.
