Lee Ann (Meaghers) Mathews, age 81, passed away March 27, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of Miami, Oklahoma.
Lee Ann was born on December 11, 1939 to Henry and Annis Meaghers in Bluejacket, Oklahoma.
Lee Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Willis H. Mathews, her parents, brother, Emmett, sisters, Eunice Knorp, Agnes Wallace, Betty Howell, Katherine Curry, niece Barbara Tomey, nephews, Dean Wallace, David Howell and step-grandson, Seneca Mathews.
Lee Ann is survived by niece, Tracey (Michael) Sanchez, 4 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews. Lee Ann is also survived by her step-children, Jerri Montgomery, Willis “J.R.” (Beth) Mathews, Perry (Laurie) Mathews, 7 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren and many dear friends.
Lee Ann worked many years as a bookkeeper, she retired in 2006 from Griffith Motors, Neosho, Mo. Lee Ann was very talented and artistic. She enjoyed genealogy research, crafting, painting, sewing, and made many beautiful quilts for family members. She was dearly loved and will greatly missed.
