Lawonda Louise Koerber, age 90, of Marionville, Missouri, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Missouri. She was born August 11, 1930, in Lake City, Arkansas, the daughter of Vester Willard and Lillian Gertrude (George) Cooper.
Lawonda was a real estate broker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marionville.
On February 4, 1956, she married Henry Louis “Hank” Koerber in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2002.
Lawonda is survived by her son, Michael Koerber and his wife, Barbara, of Pensacola, Florida; one daughter, Kathy Koerber-Muniz and her husband, Phillip, of Sacramento, California; her chosen daughter, Roxann Juenger, of St. Louis, Missouri; her daughter-in-law, Donna Koerber, of Linn, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Michael Koerber, Jr. and his wife, Miracle, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Lisa Konieczna, of Foxborough, Massachusetts, James Bennett and Brian Bennett and his wife, Poppy, all of Red Bluff, California, Kelle Porter and her husband, Travis, Kristen Gomez and Kara Mullin, all of Sacramento, California and twelve great-grandchildren.
Lawonda was preceded in death by her parents, Vester and Lilian, her husband, Hank, son, Mark Koerber, grandson-in-law, Travis Gomez and two brothers, Billy Cooper and Jimmy Chisholm.
A funeral service, under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home, in Marionville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church in Marionville. Burial will follow at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
