Parsons, KS celebrates 150th birthday with a torrent of events

PARSONS, Kan. – In 1871 Ulysses S. Grant was president of the United States, Germany unified into a single nation and Parsons, Kansas became an incorporated town. March 8, 2021 commemorates the Southeast Kansas community’s 150th birthday.

City officials are going all out to celebrate the sesquicentennial with events planned all year long.
