T-storm chances to our west Thursday

Our next storm system coming from the Southwestern US will bring partly sunny skies back in for Thursday. While we stay dry, this system will pull in just enough moisture out in parts of central and western Oklahoma and even parts of the Texas Panhandle. While this storm system isn’t showing a lot of instability to work with, areas out west will have enough moisture and upper-level dynamics coming into place for scattered t-storms to develop Thursday afternoon and into Thursday evening. That’s why the Storm Prediction Center has a marginal risk for that region. Any t-storms that do develop will mainly have 45-55 mph wind gusts and hail between the size of dimes and nickels. A few storms could have enough strength to push wind gusts near 60 and bring some quarter-size hail.
