Charles “Chuck” E. Patterson, age 79, of Joplin, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at his home.
Charles, son of the late Delbert Patterson and Mary Emzie (Hamilton) Patterson Albright, was born on February 20, 1942 in Carthage. He grew up and graduated from Carthage High School. Later he attended Pittsburg State University and then Missouri Southern State University to complete his Associates in Engineering. On June 8, 1991, he married Judith Ralston, in Harrison, Ark. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2015. Charles was the owner and operator of Chuck’s Building and Remodeling in Joplin.
Survivors include two daughters, Tami Lee, and her husband, Jason, and Michelle Morgan, and her husband, Jeff; one son, Michael Palmer, and his wife, Rhonda; two step-daughters, Stephenie Kitchingham, and her husband, Jack, and Stacey Ralston; two sisters, Margaret Snyder Wright and Janice Smith; and five grandchildren, Cheyenne, Megan, Jacob, Zach, and Allison.
Private family committal of ashes will be held at a later date at the Park Cemetery in Carthage.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
