Boil order lifted in Carterville

CARTERVILLE, Mo. — After more than a week of water issues the boil order is lifted for the city of Carterville.

The city issued a boil order after residents were without water for eight days in February. City leaders say on February 15 they had several main breaks and the cold temperatures caused residents to run faucets, which then caused the well to break.

Carterville installed a new well pump to fix the issue February 23.
