Joplin Council votes to remove outdoor gathering restrictions

JOPLIN, Mo. – The Joplin City Council voted unanimously at Monday night’s meeting to remove the mass gathering restriction for outdoor gatherings.

Under the current guidelines of the city’s Response and Recovery Plan for COVID-19, mass gatherings were restricted to 250 people. The council has removed that restriction. The council is continuing to discuss the plan and may approve other changes.
