Charles A. Watson II

Charles A. Watson II, 79, of Pittsburg, passed away at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2021, at the Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg.

He was born January 30, 1942, at Pittsburg, KS, the son of Charles A. and Doris (Spragg) Watson.

On June 4, 1970, he was united in marriage to Linda K. George. She survives of the home, Pittsburg.

Mr. Watson worked for the Crawford County Road Department and did other jobs before working as a Supervisor for a local manufacturing company for 27 years before his retirement.

He was a long time member of the Arma Masonic Lodge #408.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael Watson (Kim) of Frontenac, and Charles A. Watson III (Lolita) of Pittsburg, four daughters, Cheryl Creech (Rick) of Pittsburg, Roxanne Watson (granddaughter, Nicole Lakey) of Pittsburg, Tammy Cleffman of Oklahoma City, OK and Beverly Murphy (Fred) of Pittsburg, eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and two dogs, Willie and Panzy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Rebecca Watson, one grandson, Dustin Watson and a sister, Barbara Brown.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Watson will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Sam Brown and Son Sheet Metal, 1406 N. Pine St., Pittsburg. The family suggests memorials to the Hope Lodge in Kansas City. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
