CARTHAGE, Mo. – Members of Boy Scout Troop 9 in Carthage woke up early Sunday to serve some breakfast at the First United Methodist Church on Main Street.
The goal of the morning meal was to raise money for some upcoming trips. The money raised will go towards funding summer hiking excursion in New Mexico.
“It’s important for us because it gets our younger scouts out in the community and gets them more comfortable working with people, because we do a lot of community stuff,” said Scout Brett Backerman.
The morning menu included biscuits and gravy, waffles, eggs, and juice to wash it all down.
