William Arnold Stevens, 76 of Girard, KS formerly of Cherokee, KS died Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his home. He was born November 12, 1944 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Howard Arnold and Alma Lucille (McGlaughlin). He attended school at McCune, KS and graduated from the McCune High School. He was united in marriage to Margaret McClure in 1966, they later divorced.

Arnold attended the First Baptist Church of Cherokee, KS for many years, also attending the United Methodist Church of West Mineral, KS. He was an avid antique car buff and restorer. He was especially proud of his 1964 Impala Convertible.

Survivors include two sons: Jeffery Stevens of Oklahoma City, OK and Mark and wife Michelle Stevens of Girard, along with a grandson Perrin Stevens.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Helen Maynard.

Memorial services are pending and will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Teen Fund at Living Faith Church of the Nazarene; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home. Services will be under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Weir, KS.
