Hundreds took part in a 23 mile race down historic Route 66 today. Twelveone Group hosted the Mother Road Marathon. The race spans three states, starting in Commerce, OK and ending in Joplin, MO. There was also the option for a 13 mile long half marathon, which started in Baxter Springs, KS. It takes a lot of work to prepare for the race, but runners say it’s extremely rewarding. “Gosh just do it,” said half marathon runner Elisha Maxwell. …
