Lafayette House Receives $50,000 To Help Families In Crisis

Joplin’s Lafayette House gets a big helping hand. Debra and David Humphreys of Joplin today announced a $50,000 dollar gift to help fund operational expenses. Lafayette House provides shelter, meals, counseling and other services for victims of domestic violence. Last year, more than 1,300 adults and children sought crisis services through Lafayette House, receiving safe shelter, meals, transportation, and child care along with counseling, case management and advocacy.
