KCC approves Westar/Kansas City Power and Light merger

Topeka – This afternoon, the Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) approved a settlement agreement giving Westar Energy and Great Plains Energy (the parent company of Kansas City Power and Light) approval to merge as equals.
