The Peace Church Cemetery Group held a special tour this morning. The group walked through jasper county’s second oldest cemetery — where they provided information on its history and the many soldiers that were buried there. it was all a fundraiser to raise money for the maintenance expenses of the cemetery since the namesake church is longer there. The group is accepting volunteers to occasionally help keep the mow the historic cemetery.
