K-103 reconstruction begins @ Weir
The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has started a project to reconstruct K-103 (Main Street) from Lincoln Street to Jefferson Street inside the city of Weir.The first phases of the project involved installing storm sewer pipes on city side streets. The project has moved to the K-103 reconstruction phase, which includes grading, surfacing and the placement of new pavement markings. Neosho man arrested for burning without a permit
On April 28, 2015, at 6:44 am, the Joplin Police Department responded to the 800 block of Main in the east alley for a dumpster fire. The dumpster is owned by Service Recycling, 1015 Illinois, Joplin.Officers contacted witnesses in the area that reported that Michael R. Banks, 57, Neosho, Mo., had confided to them that he had set the fire.
