Morning Jolt: Economy adds 288,000 jobs

The Labor Department reported this morning that the U.S. economy added 288,000 jobs in June and that the unemployment rate fell from 6.3 percent to 6.1 percent. The economy has added at least 200,000 jobs for five months in a row, the first time that’s happened since 1999.
