Morning Jolt: John Kerry visits Iraq as militants batter county

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Iraq today to reassure leaders that the U.S. still backs the country, even as radical militants from ISIS advance toward Baghdad. The militant group – Islamic State in Iraq and Syria – killed at least 75 people today, including five police officers. The group is moving toward Baghdad from the west and north and want to take over the country.
