Joplin schools superintendent invites state audit in response to start of petition drive

In response to a petition drive seeking to force a state audit of the Joplin School District, its top administrator said Wednesday that he has invited the scrutiny from the state office. Superintendent C.J. Huff said he contacted the state auditor’s office Wednesday morning to request an audit of the school district’s finances, which he said is an attempt to try to save the district from footing the bill for a petition audit.
