Miranda Doerr, the 3-year-old daughter of Jennifer and Michael Doerr, was the rural Newton County girl who died of a gunshot wound Monday. Newton County Sheriff Ken Copeland on Tuesday released the girl’s identity. “They had access to a handgun in the room; as to what happened there, we’re still investigating,” Copeland said.
