Workers carefully removed the cornerstone on Pittsburg State University’s Overman Student Center Wednesday morning as a major expansion and renovation of the building has begun. For 64 years, the cornerstone has served as a historical reminder to passersby. It will be displayed in the renovated and expanded building, which is expected to be completed in 2015 at a total cost of about $14 million.
