MSSU students vote to go smoke free, and reject fee for athletic-s related projects

Students at Missouri Southern State University voted on Wednesday for their campus to go smoke free. 401 students voted for the ban, with 159 voting against it. The ban includes vapor and tobacco in general and will go into effect in the fall of 2015. Students also voted on the “ROAR funding”. It failed, with 298 voting no and 267 voting yes. It would have paid for athletics-related projects. Eleven percent of the university’s student body participated in the election.
