Joplin new-home pace down slightly from last year

So far in the city of Joplin’s fiscal year, the construction of new homes in has averaged about 15 per month, down slightly from the pace fiscal 2013, when permits for new homes averaged more than 16 units per month. That comparison is drawn from a city report citing 92 building permits, totaling $2,966,441, having been issued in March, the fifth month of Joplin’s fiscal year. That brought the total for the fiscal year to $29,521,989.
