Audubon to come alive on banks of Shoal Creek

On the banks of serene Shoal Creek, as a pair of blue-gray gnat-catchers flitted about the trees Friday morning, John James Audubon came back to life for a moment. He’ll do so again today as Wildcat Glades Conservation & Audubon Center celebrates the 229th birthday of the National Audubon Society’s namesake and one of America’s best-known artists and naturalists.
