Telecom Lobby Backs Down from Bad Broadband Bill; But are Cities Safe?

Today the lobbyist, John Federico, President of the Kansas Cable Telecommunications Association (KCTA), requested that the Kansas Senate Committee on Commerce postpone public testimony on a broadband bill that would essentially kill private/public partnerships to improve broadband services for Kansans. The request for the delay was to redefine “underserved areas” in the bill.
