More than 100 people — both for and against the legalization of marijuana — turned out Thursday night for a public forum put on by the Alliance of Southwest Missouri for discussion about the drug and its impact in society. The forum featured a panel of five people who said they have seen firsthand the negative effects of marijuana use, as well as keynote speaker Kevin Sabet, director of the Drug Policy Institute at the University of Florida and co-founder of Project SAM (Smart Approaches to Marijuana).
